National American Indian Heritage Month (November) is a wonderful opportunity and time for children to learn not only about their heritage but the heritage of all Americans. Just because one month of the year is set aside to celebrate and show appreciation for the American Indians both current and past does not mean the learning or celebration should be confined to just one month of the year.
